STABILIZATION An alternative to aggregate substructure construction
I WHAT IS STABILIZATION?
Stabilization is based on the proper selection of hydrualic binders for a given soil type, together with ion-exchange preparations showing hydrophobic properties.
The main aim of the stabilization technology is to achieve the effect of soil colloids integration. It is achieved by introducing into the soil the compounds containing active acid donor groups as well as those able to form hydrogen bonds and interacting on the basis of Van der Waals forces with soil colloids.
The proper selection of binders makes it possible to perform soil stabilization with the “in situ” recycling method, by enriching the existing soil with hydraulic binders with the addition of ion-exchange agents, simultaneously bringing the stabilized soil to the parameters EV2 ≥ 120 MPa.
Thanks to the application of our solutions, it is no longer necessary to perform the majority of earthworks related to the construction of road beds, drainage layer and incorporation of aggregate into the road body.
I USE IN ROAD CONSTRUCTION
The stabilization is based on building materials approved for use in road construction. The materials we use have current KOT technical approvals.
Experience shows that road construction investments using our solutions are characterized by shorter implementation times, while the technical level increases. Execution of construction layers with the use of on-site recycling method gives measurable financial effects.
NOTE: The construction of the roadway substructure allows it to be finished with any type of surface (RCC concrete, asphalt, paving stones, etc.).
I SIWZ
The use of on-site recycling is possible in already approved with a valid building permit projects developed for other, traditional technologies. This requires that equivalent replacement solutions be permitted in the tender documentation. The offered technology meets the strength parameters specified in the technical specification and the SIWZ.
I ADVANTAGES AND BENEFITS OF ROAD CONSTRUCTION USING ON-SITE RECYCLING
- Fast and effective stabilization of road construction
- Application of deep recycling with stabilizer and binder to a depth of 25-50 cm
- Minimal restrictions for local traffic during construction. Access to properties, parcels and side roads occurs with only a few hours’ interruption
- The execution time of the works, e.g. 5m wide roadway (area of 2500 m2, requires only 2-3 days). Already one day after completion, limited traffic and asphalt paving is permitted
- Reduction of construction costs
- Express and not burdensome time of investment realization in comparison to traditional methods
I USE OF STABILIZATION
-
Widely used in industrial construction (e.g. to reinforce foundation for construction of halls, parking lots, etc.)
- Stabilisation of auxiliary and basic foundations
Permanent stabilization of doubtful and failing soils - Trwała stabilizacja gruntów wątpliwych i wysadzinowych
- Application in areas requiring special care for the environment
- Application in areas requiring special care for the environment
- Stabilization and reinforcement of dirt roads
- Construction of local roads and access roads
- Construction of forest roads and cycle paths
- Reinforcement of construction sites and temporary roads
- Construction of roadsides, road embankments and flood banks
- Other applications requiring soil stabilisation
